Estimates the risk of death from external causes according to assaults (X85-Y09) and measures its magnitude as a public health issue in the resident population in a given geographical area, in the year considered.
Method of calculation:
Numerator: Number of deaths of inhabitants due to external causes (CAUSABAS = X85-Y09 Assaults) according to sex, locality and year.  
Denominator: resident population according to sex, locality and year.
Constant: 100,000
Unit of measure:
Multiplied by 100 thousand
