Proportion of children enrolled in daycares and pre-schools
Concepts and definitions:
Refers to the relation between the number of children enrolled in Early Childhood Education Institutions, such as daycares (for children 0 to 3 years of age) and pre-schools (generally for children 4 to 5 years of age), in relation to the total number of children of an age in which they should be in these institutions, in a given population or region.
Method of calculation:
Numerator: total number of enrollments in daycares and pre-schools in the public and private networks, by locality  of unit and year of School Census.
Denominator: total number of enrollments effected in the public and private networks, by locality of unit and year of School Census.
Constant: 100
Unit of measure:
Multiplied by 100
