Refers to the number of cases of self-inflicted violence notified in SINAN, in the resident population in a given geographical space, in the year considered.
Method of calculation:
Numerator: Number of notifications of violence whose "self-inflicted wound" field is filled "yes" according to age group, sex, locality of residence and year of notification of violence.
Denominator: resident population according to age group, sex, locality and year.
Constant: 100,000
Unit of measure:
Notifications per 100 thousand inhabitants
