Rate of mortality due to mental and  behavioral disorders
Concepts and definitions:
Estimates the risk of death from mental and behavioral disorders, in the resident population of a given geographical space, in the year considered.
Method of calculation:
Numerator: number of deaths from mental and behavioral disorders (codes from Chapter V of ICD-10), according to age group, sex, locality of residence and year of death.
Denominator: resident population according to age group, sex, locality and year.
Constant: 100,000
Unit of measure:
Deaths per 100 thousand inhabitants
